Question: Are my contributions to the Foundation tax-deductible?
Answer: Yes, the Sutherland Foundation for Education and Enrichment is recognized as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization by the IRS, and all contributions are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by the tax laws. Question: What does the Foundation do with the money it raises or receives through contributions? Answer: We are a new organization, and we are launching our fundraising efforts and determining the best ways to allocate much-needed resources. We are working closely with the administration, teachers and PTA to decide where funds can be used strategically and with the most benefit for our students. We are also meeting with other non-profit school foundations to learn their best practices and procedures. The Foundation's Board of Directors takes its responsibilities with the utmost seriousness and is committed to transparency and clarity. If you have suggestions or questions about how we are using our funds, please do not hesitate to contact our board members.
